A Plea

Most of you may have already noticed this, or more likely are over it, but man, Alec had left his blog up for so long, I thought for sure he would keep it as an archive. So, it was disappointing, and a wee bit sad, to see that it is now gone for good. I will only beg one more time, please don't delete your blog, even if you are over it, it is nice to revisit them from time to time.

I noticed it and, of course, had the same reaction. I'm hoping he hasn't taken it down for good, that it's just a temporary thing, but I think that's unlikely. . . .

It does seem sad, esp since history on the internet is so fleeting, and so rarely preserved. It seems to be preserved on my rss feed - but sans pictures.

I went to check the Wayback Machine on Archive.org, which archives the internet, but it seems to be temporarily down.

Sadly, the blog is going to be down for a bit until we figure out a way to prevent it from being hacked again. Any advice on setting up a secure archive of a wordpress blog would be welcome...

I can't tell you the number of times I have gone back to refer to Alec's blog. I'll be thinking of something and remember he has posted something relevent. I'll keep mu fingers crossed that a secure solution can be found. Otherwise, how about a book?
